Hey future bulldogs!

My name is Katelynn Stidham and I am from Saltillo, MS! After high school in 2016, I attended Itawamba Community College and then in 2018, I transferred to Mississippi State where I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor's in Communication! As a long time MSU fan, I always knew I wanted to attend this university, I just knew I would need to take a route like many of you have and attend a community college first.  Since I was a transfer student myself, I cannot wait to share my experience with you as we walk through the transfer process! I cannot wait to work with each of you! Hail State!

Get to know me

What is your favorite tradition at MSU?

My favorite tradition at Mississippi State would definitely be tailgating at football games, or sitting in Left Field at baseball games! There's nothing like hanging out with your best friends while watching some fun MSU athletics!

What was your favorite class or professor at MSU?

As a communication major, my absolute favorite professor was Dr. Fisher - I took two separate courses under her and she was fabulous in both! She got to know her students and made me feel at home in her classroom!

What is your favorite memory from MSU?

My favorite memory would be running home on bid day. As a transfer going through recruitment, I was scared of what the outcome would be, but looking back now on that day, I am so glad that I ran home to Alpha Delta Pi. Through this chapter, I was able to gain leadership roles through two of the positions I held and overall it truly was a great time in my life!

What is your favorite Starkville restaurant?

Hands down, my favorite restaurant would be the Bin 612! I'm pretty sure that I could go every week to get a yard bird taco and some cheese fries!

Something about you that surprises people:

A fun fact about myself would be that I was a mascot for seven years! Growing up, I had always been a part of a cheer team, but after an injury I wanted a way to still be a part of the team, so I decided to become the mascot and I absolutely loved it! Everyone who meets me knows I have a bubbly personality, but I really let my true self show when in character!
