2008 Orientation Housing

On-campus housing during the June sessions of Orientation 2008 will be provided in Griffis Hall, which is in the newly constructed Donald W. Zacharias Village. Home of the Shackouls Honors College, Griffis Hall is a 309-bed, state-of-the-art facility with fully-furnished, double occupancy rooms with two extra-long twin beds and private bathrooms. The building has wireless internet throughout, several lounge areas, and a full-service coffee shop in the ground-floor lobby. During Orientation 2008 complimentary linens will be provided for guests.

On-campus housing during Honors Orientation 2008 may be available in Herbert Hall Guest Housing. For more information, please contact the Office of Guest and Conference Housing at (662) 325-2867 or conference@saffairs.msstate.edu.

Check-in will begin at noon the day prior to each Orientation 2008 session for those guests who requested an early arrival. Also, visitors must be checked out of the hall by noon on the last day of each event. On-campus housing during Orientation 2008 will cost $50 per room, per night and can be reserved while registering for an individual session at orientation.msstate.edu. Directions to Orientation 2008 Housing - Griffis Hall

Hwy 45 Alt. (North or South)

1. Take Hwy 82 West to Starkville/MSU
2. Take Hwy 12 West/Starkville Exit (follow MSU signs)
3. Take MSU/Hwy 182 Exit
4. Turn left onto Hwy 182 East (follow MSU signs)
5. Turn right into MSU North Entrance at the first traffic light
6. Proceed 1/2 mile to first stop sign
7. Turn left onto Coliseum Blvd. and proceed over the hill, passing two buildings to the right
8. Griffis Hall is the third building to the right
9. Parking will be available on the left

Interstate 55 (North or South)

1. Take Hwy 82 East exit at Winona (there will be a sign directing to MSU)
2. Take Hwy 82 East into Starkville
3. Take Hwy 12 West/Starkville Exit
4. Take MSU/Hwy 182 Exit
5. Turn left onto Hwy 182 East (follow MSU signs)
6. Turn right into MSU North Entrance at first traffic light
7. Proceed 1/2 mile to first stop sign
8. Turn left onto Coliseum Blvd. and proceed over the hill, passing two buildings to the right

Hwy 25 North

1. Take Hwy 25 North past first Hwy 12 West exit
2. Continue on Hwy 25 North and take Hwy 82 East/25 North exit to Columbus/West Point
3. Take Hwy 12 West/Starkville Exit
4. Take MSU/Hwy 182 Exit
5. Turn left onto Hwy 182 East (follow MSU signs)
6. Turn right into MSU North Entrance at first traffic light
