* The written portion of the SAT is not considered for the awarding of scholarships.
*Recipients must enroll as a full-time student the semester in which the award is received. Recipients also must remain in good standing.
Distinguished Scholarships
- Priority Date: December 1
- Award:
- Up to $34,000 over four years ($8,500/year)
- On-campus, double-occupancy residence hall accommodations for four years
- One-time $1,500 Educational Enrichment Scholarship for qualified educational pursuits, such as study abroad
- Undergraduate Research Fellowships, valued at $4,000, over two summers ($2,000/summer)
- Non-Resident Scholarship (if a non- resident)
- Criteria:
- Minimum 29 ACT or 1280 SAT
- Outstanding high school academic record with a scholarship GPA of 3.5
- Exceptional high school and community leadership
Accounting Excellence Scholarships

- Award: Up to $8,000 over four years ($2,000/year)
- Criteria: Outstanding ACT/SAT and high school record
- Awarded by the School of Accountancy
Engineering Excellence Scholarships
- Priority Date: February 1 (Contact: Mr. Robert Green - 662.325.2267)
- Award: Up to $12,000 over four years ($3,000/year) for engineering and computer science majors
- Criteria: Minimum 30 ACT or 1320 SAT and an exceptional high school academic record
- Awarded by the Bagley College of Engineering
Ramsay and Elaine O'Neal Scholarship

- Award: Up to $12,000 over four years ($3,000/year) for pre-med students
- Criteria: Minimum 28 ACT or 1240 SAT and an exceptional high school academic record
- Awarded by the Department of Biological Sciences
Sharp Academic Scholarships

- Award: Up to $12,000 over four years ($3,000/year) for forestry majors
- Criteria: Outstanding high school academic records and an exceptional ACT/SAT score
