Hello, I am Gianna! You can call me G. I am originally from Tampa, FL and was a student at MSU from 2014-2018 as an Animal and Dairy Science Major. I am married to my husband, Kyle, who is my high school sweetheart! We have 3 cats - all named after Harry Potter characters, and 1 dog who is like our child. I love college football, hockey, and traveling to be with friends! I love Mississippi State and can't wait to share my love for it with you!

What is your favorite tradition at MSU?

My favorite MSU tradition is the cowbell! At first, I was unsure about the cowbell, but after hearing every single person in Davis Wade ring their cowbells at my first football game it felt electric! It unites all of the Bulldog family together. It's like music to my ears!

Favorite season on campus:

My favorite season on campus has to be fall. Coming from Florida, we don't really see the seasons change. The MSU campus is so beautiful during the fall. The red and brown leaves, the fall weather- but also football season! There is a buzz throughout the atmosphere in the fall semester! Tailgating in the Junction and seeing families and friends come together always makes me so happy. I also love the freshness of the fall semester. Some students are on campus for the first time, and some people are back from summer break. It feels like a new beginning!

Your School & Major:

I was in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as an Animal and Dairy Science major. I have always been an animal lover, and this program helped prepare me for Graduate School and my previous job as a Veterinary Technician! CALS and the ADS department feel like being part of a family!

Favorite Student Organization & why:

I first joined my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, and loved the friendships I made. Since then, I have loved giving back to the campus that gave me so much! During my time at MSU, I served as a Gamma Chi Recruitment Counselor, the President of the Oktibbeha Humane Society Student Chapter, a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Ambassador, and a Roadrunner. I also worked at MSU's dairy farm, the Bearden Dairy Research Center! My advice to every student is to get involved!

Favorite Starkville Restaurant:

My favorite Starkville restaurant is The Bin 612. I love sitting on the patio with my friends and my dog. The Cotton District is so unique, and it is a great place to hangout with friends! Be sure to get The Bin's famous cheese fries!
