My name is Spencer Snider and I am from Murfreesboro, TN. I am engaged to my amazing fiancé, Reagan, who starts medical school next August at UMMC. When I am not on the road or in Montgomery meeting with prospective students, I love spending time with my family and friends. In my opinion, nothing beats a day of quality time spent with those you love the most. I am also very into fitness and tennis, so if you can’t find me, check the gym or tennis courts. I chose to take my picture outside of Harned Hall because I was a biology major while at State, and this is where the biology department is housed. The majority of my classes were in this building, and it is where I met some of my closest friends. Harned is beautiful on the inside and out. If you have never been inside of it, check out the third floor. It is beautiful and one of my favorite spots on campus.

What is the one experience students shouldn't miss?

A night game at Davis Wade Stadium. There is something different about the atmosphere during a night game. Everyone is super pumped up and it is exhilarating.

Favorite season on campus?

My favorite season on campus is fall. You just can’t beat it. The leaves are changing color, which makes Old Main Plaza look beautiful, but it is also football season and you can’t beat cheering on the bulldogs in Davis Wade on a Saturday.

The main reason I chose MSU:

I chose MSU because it felt like home. When I toured the campus, I fell in love with everything about the University. It felt like it was where I was supposed to be, and I never looked back.

Favorite memory from a student organization or club:

My favorite organization is Roadrunners. I became a Roadrunner during my freshman year because I wanted to show high school and transfer students how special MSU is. I served as Vice President of Roadrunners for 2 years, and it was the time of my life. Roadrunners definitely made my college experience what it was.

What is your favorite restaurant in Starkville?

My favorite restaurant has to be Bulldog Burger. It is the absolute best. Their burgers are amazing and the sweet potato fries are even better. It is also the place my now fiancé and I went on our first date, so it has some special meaning to it as well.
