More about Jared Woullard

When Jared Woullard toured Mississippi State, he knew it was the right fit.

“I knew I could build something here, get involved, bloom and grow as a person.”

A first-generation college student, Jared has taken advantage of his opportunities at MSU. He is active in the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students and plays an important role in strategic planning and vision for MSU’s architecture program. Jared says he is thankful for the relationships he has forged with his professors.

“They push you to find your own groove. They let me take the wheel but guide me in the right direction.”

Jared’s ultimate goal is to own his own firm but plans to start with a respected company where he can gain experience.

“I want to create my own legacy in architecture.”

His advice to other transfer students,

“Don’t test the waters. Just dive in, join things, reach out and do more.”
