Scholarships Notice

Mississippi State University awards automatic scholarships based on certain academic criteria. Calculate your potential amounts using our scholarship calculator. Opportunities for additional scholarships, such as departmental or private scholarships, are available based on submission of the General Scholarship Application, which opens on October 1, once admitted to the university.

Automatic Scholarship

Freshman Non-Resident Academic Excellence Scholarship

Automatically awarded upon MSU admission based on 9th-11th grade high school GPA and test scores. Annual award (over a maximum of 8 semesters). Non-resident students can receive a Freshman Academic Excellence Scholarship and a Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship. Eligible students may also receive a Colvard Future Leader Scholarship.

Starting at 35 with a 3.0-3.49 GPA, an additional scholarship for Study Abroad is available for $3,000. Students with a 35 ACT or higher with a 3.5 GPA or higher are eligible to receive a $4,000 scholarship for Study Abroad.
