More about Amanda Kronenberger
Amanda Kronenberger is interning with the U.S. House Appropriations Committee for the summer. She has been placed with the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development. The Appropriations Committee is responsible for funding the country's 16 federal agencies by passing 1 consolidated appropriations bill every year. Amanda has written memos for the committee chairwoman Rosa DeLauro, attended hearings, and has gotten the chance to write bill language for the subcommittee. Some of her memo writing includes information on affordable housing complexes across the country, electronic logging devices and the livestock industry, and the FAA’s Open Skies agreement. She has also had the chance to attend hearings and markups with the 59 Members of Congress, learning about the markup process that occurs as a bill moves from subcommittee to the full committee and finally to the House floor.
