More about Ethan Bolton

Ethan Bolton, a Building and Construction Science major, attended one of Mississippi State’s career fairs his sophomore year and made a meaningful connection that led to his internship a year later. He is currently completing an internship with Brassfield & Gorrie in Savannah, Georgia. One aspect that set Ethan apart from other students at other schools was the hands-on experience offered at MSU. The Building Construction Science program is studio-based, and Ethan was able to design and build a tiny house as part of a school project. Ethan enjoys the hands-on learning experience in his program: “Some of our studios are collaborative where construction students get
to work with architecture students, so that gives us perspective on how real-life construction goes.” Ethan feels well prepared for a career after graduation, explaining that MSU Building Construction Science majors not only get the physical experience of building and creating, but also learn the management, scheduling, and estimating side of construction so they are ready to be project managers or superintendents once they complete the program.
