Katelynn Potter

Hey Bulldog! I'm Katelynn Potter, and I am from Guntown, MS originally but I currently live in Starkville! I transferred to Mississippi State from Itawamba Community College in 2018, then I graduated from MSU in 2020 with a Bachelors in Communication. As a long-time fan of MSU, I always knew I wanted to attend this University, but I knew that going to a community college first would be the best route for my educational journey. I love getting to share my transfer experience with future students! Hail State!

Dudy Noble is hands down my favorite place here at MSU - growing up I loved getting to come to baseball games, but there was nothing like it when I attended my first game as a student. Now I love it even more as an alumnus!

I would encourage every student looking to transfer to MSU to get involved! There are so many organizations on our campus and I truly wouldn't be able to share my experience without being apart of various organizations during undergrad!

Being a part of the SEC, you are going to be able to experience the game day environment that every school has to offer, but Mississippi State is special in so many way. No matter if you or your friends have a tailgate yourselves, you are always welcome to pop into any tailgate that you pass. Buy the all-seasons pass and go to all of the home athletic events! Win or lose, the memories that you will make will last you a lifetime!
My friends and I created a tailgate our first year as students and we have continued to setup every home football weekend until now - now that we are all getting married, it is such a fun experience to share those memories with!

Hands down I would say that my favorite restaurant would have to be Bulldog Burger or Bin612. You have to check both of them out!
Also, if you are down for a sweet treat, check out Bop's on HWY 12!

I am definitely an Apple Music kind of girl - you can typically find me listening to some sort of country but If I had to pick an artist that I am really into right now, that would be Teddy Swims!
