Application Opens

Admissions Application for Summer and Fall 2026 opens at 8 p.m. CT.

General Scholarship Application (GSA) Opens

Admitted students can begin their GSA on October 1st each year. The GSA houses competitive, alumni, extracurricular, and other scholarships.

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Once you have been admitted to MSU, you can begin your FAFSA. MSU's federal code is 002423.

Submit Housing Application

The housing application opens for admitted students is available beginning October 1. First-time freshmen are required to live in on-campus housing.

Confirm you are attending Mississippi State University by signing up for this required event for new, entering students.

Housing Application Priority Ends

Incoming freshmen for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 academic year, should complete their Housing Application submission by April 1 at 11:59 p.m. CT in order to maintain their housing priority.

Housing Contract Priority Period

Incoming freshmen for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 academic year, should return to their Housing Portal to complete their housing contract between April 2 at 10 a.m. and April 30 at 11:59 p.m. CT in order to maintain their housing priority.
