Orientation Information for Each Campus

Online @ State

*This is not for students who would normally enroll in Starkville campus classes and are taking MSU Summer Advantage summer courses. Find more info here about how to register for the correct Orientation session.*

The Center for Distance Education is pleased to offer the non-credit Online @ State Orientation class which is available to all new undergraduate and graduate students entering online degree programs. This four-day course takes less than five hours to complete and can be completed during your free time. It is not necessary to log in during a specific time of day, but students are encouraged to log in each day. Online students must be admitted and utilize their NetID to register for Orientation.

At MSU Meridian, orientation sessions are replaced with one-on-one meetings with dedicated Academic Advisors.  We know every student is different and that’s why we think it’s important to help you create a schedule that meets both your academic and personal needs.  Not only will you register for classes, but we will also take time and discuss financial aid, options for paying your bill, textbooks, class locations and how you can get involved with MSU student organizations!
