The Summer (May, June, July) and Fall (August) 2027 Admissions Application is now open!
The application can be found at apply.msstate.edu.
Students can apply via the Common App beginning August 5.
The application is simple to submit- all you need is yourself and a computer. The application is easiest to submit on a computer. It will will ask questions like your address, anticipated major, and your parent or guardian's contact information.
All high school and/or college transcripts and SAT/ACT scores can be submitted after your application. These can be sent to us after your high school or community college returns back to school. Please note your application must be completed (SAT/ACT scores, high school transcript, $50 non-refundable application fee or NACAC fee waiver — $60 for international applicants) for your application to be reviewed for admission. Again, we encourage students to go ahead and submit their online admissions application on August 1, 2026 at 8 p.m. CT and submit all other required documents at a later date. Submitting documents at a later date does not change the timestamp of your admissions application being submitted for your housing priority. Once all required materials are received, it will take 10-15 days for your application to be processed and for you to be notified of the decision. You will receive an email at the address used on your application and a letter in the mail.
Housing priority (when you select your residence hall (dorm)) is determined by when your admissions application is submitted. The earlier your admissions application is submitted, the earlier your housing selection time slot will be.
