For more than 100 years, Orientation at Mississippi State University has welcomed new Bulldogs and helped generations of students begin their college journey with confidence. Since its earliest programs, Orientation has evolved to meet the changing needs of students while remaining rooted in the university's commitment to community, academic success, and tradition. Today, Orientation continues to serve as the first step in the Mississippi State experience, connecting students and their families with the resources, relationships, and opportunities that prepare them to thrive on campus.
100 Years of Orientation Tailgate
Join us as we celebrate 100 Years of Orientation at Mississippi State University! Reconnect with fellow alumni, current Orientation Leaders, and friends at our commemorative tailgate on Saturday, October 24, on the Drill Field from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Enjoy great food, fellowship, and Bulldog spirit as we honor a century of welcoming students to the MSU family. We hope you'll join us for this special celebration! As a thank you for being an integral part of the Orientation Leader program at Mississippi State, we will be offering discounted tickets for the football game. 100 Years of Orientation Exhibit
This summer, the Office of Orientation and Events celebrated 100 Years of Orientation at Mississippi State University with a special exhibit in the Art Gallery on the second floor of the Colvard Student Union. The exhibit showcased photographs, artifacts, and memorabilia highlighting the people, traditions, and evolution of Orientation throughout the past century. Although the exhibit is now closed, you can still experience a glimpse of it by viewing photos from the exhibit below.
