- National Merit Finalists who are members of the Shackouls Honors College may be eligible for a $2,000 Stewart Bridgforth Honors Scholarship, which may be used for study abroad, internships, or faculty-sponsored undergraduate research support after successful completion of the student's first year at MSU. To be considered for this scholarship, students must be active participants in the Shackouls Honors College, maintain a minimum overall 3.4 GPA, and participate in the Stewart Bridgforth Honors Scholars Program.
- Finalists sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation may be selected for an annual stipend ranging from $500 to $3,000.

Presidential Scholarships are the most prestigious scholarships awarded at MSU. These are awarded to a select number of the most outstanding entering freshmen on a competitive basis. Renewable annually up to 8 semesters at MSU based on overall college GPA.
The package includes costs for tuition, meal plan, and **housing for four years of undergraduate study, as well as $12,000 for enrichment opportunities, such as study abroad and undergraduate research.

Recipients of this award will participate in the immersive Luckyday Scholars Program. To remain eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
- Enrollment as a full-time student each semester
- Live in Azalea Hall with Luckyday scholars for first year
- Participate in the Luckyday course first semester
- Complete at least 10 hours of service each semester
- Attend programming meetings each semester
- Maintain 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher on all course work
- Students not meeting GPA requirement will be placed on probation and meet with staff
