MSU's official high-energy spirit kickoff, held on campus the night before the season opener. Cowbells, the Famous Maroon Band, spirit squads, and fireworks. One MSU newsroom piece listed September 4 instead of 3, so it's worth a quick check on hailstate.com closer to the date, but athletics has been promoting the 3rd.

Two home weekends this month (Sept 12 at Minnesota and Sept 19 at South Carolina are both away games):
- MSU vs. ULM (Louisiana-Monroe), Saturday September 5 at 6:30 PM, season home opener
- MSU vs. Missouri, Saturday September 26, SEC home opener, kickoff time TBD
