Admitted Student Days

Admitted Student Days are half-day events hosted by each academic college during the spring semester. Sign up beginning December 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CT.

Overview

Admitted Student Days are geared toward incoming freshmen and transfer students who have been admitted to Mississippi State University. These half-day events are designed to give students & parents the opportunity to meet departmental representatives and talk with current students within their intended college. Each event will include college-specific information session and breakout groups. This will be a great time to ask questions - and get answers - about your academic and career goals.

Based on your declared major, you will be able to interact with representitives from your preferred area of study and connect with student ambassadors. If you're not sure which college your major falls under, don't sweat it. We've listed them for you below.

How much does it cost?

This event is free!

Can I attend if I have not declared a major?

Yes! Simply select the Academic College you are most interested in.

Will I be able to register for classes during Admitted Student Day?

No. All incoming freshmen and transfer students are required to attend an Orientation session, where they will register for classes. Admitted Student Days are designed to give students an opportunity to learn more about their academic college, connect with college representatives and student ambassadors, and ask questions about their academic experience at MSU.

I have mobility issues. Can I still participate in Admitted Student Day??

Yes! We will work to provide alternate transportation for those with mobility issues to various locations during Admitted Student Day. In order for accommodations to be made, please be sure to include that information when you sign up online; or feel free to contact our office at 662.325.2334 to let us know if you will need alternate transportation or special assistance.

Things To Bring
With Your Bulldog Spirit!

• Casual Clothes
• Comfortable Shoes (the day will be full of walking!)
• Spending money (Barnes & Noble has great MSU gear!)
• Rain wear (just in case!)
• Sweater or jacket (some meeting rooms can be a little chilly)
