Miss Mississippi Scholarship

Awarded to the winners and first through fourth alternates of the Miss Mississippi Program. The amount of the award is determined by the student's placement in the Miss Mississippi program.

First Through Fourth Alternates

Award Information

The first through fourth alternates of the Miss Mississippi program will receive a $1,000 one-year award. This one-year award amount will be disbursed equally over two semesters during a student's first year at MSU.

Award Criteria

  • Must be a Mississippi resident
  • Must be named first, second, third, or fourth alternate of the Miss Mississippi program
  • Must have placement verified by the Miss Mississippi Corporation

Miss Mississippi Winner

Award Information

This award amount covers the cost of tuition for the overall state winner of the Miss Mississippi Program. The amount of this award will be capped at the regular 12-16 hour tuition rate. No adjustments will be made for overload tuition charges.

New students may receive this award for up to four years (8 semesters) provided student maintains a minimum overall college GPA of 3.0 and continuous full-time enrollment (12 credit hours per semester at MSU).

Current MSU students may only receive this award for the semesters of scholarship eligibility that they have remaining.

  • Must be the winner of the Miss Mississippi program
  • Must have placement verified by the Miss Mississippi Corporation

For the winner of the Miss Mississippi program, the full-tuition Miss Mississippi Scholarship is awarded in lieu of the Freshman Academic Scholarship Package.

Federal financial aid, state financial aid, and/or scholarship recipients may not receive funds in excess of cost of attendance. The amount of your scholarships may be adjusted or canceled if you receive funds in excess of cost of attendance, https://www.sfa.msstate.edu/cost.
