Awarded to entering freshmen who are named Valedictorian by their high school. Students must be a Mississippi resident graduating from a Mississippi high school to be eligible for this award.

Award Information
The above one-year award amount will be disbursed equally over two semesters during a student's first year at MSU.
Award Criteria
- Must be an entering first-time freshman
- Must have a minimum 9th-11th grade GPA of 3.0+
- Must be a Mississippi resident
- Must be graduating from a Mississippi high school
- Must submit the General Scholarship Application
- Must submit the Valedictorian Scholarship Application in the scholarship portal
- Student must submit the name and email address of their high school counselor to verify their status as part of the Valedictorian Scholarship Application.
