MSU Residence Hall Options

MSU's residence halls are spread across four areas of campus — Historic District, South Point, Victory Park, and Zacharias Village — each with its own character and community. Hall styles include:

Classic Halls — Traditional double-occupancy rooms in the heart of campus, offering some of MSU's most accessible options for first-year students.

Contemporary Halls — Newer, suite-style buildings with modern amenities. Deavenport, Dogwood, Magnolia, and Oak Halls feature deluxe doubles and quad suites for students looking for an upgraded living experience.

Living-Learning & Themed Communities — MSU offers specialized housing communities for students in the Shackouls Honors College (Griffis and Nunnelee Halls), Entrepreneurship (Deavenport Hall), Luckyday Scholars (Azalea Hall), and more.

How to Apply for On-Campus Housing at MSU

Students must first apply and be admitted to MSU before applying for housing. Applications are submitted through my.housing.msstate.edu and require a non-refundable application fee. Once a housing assignment is offered, students sign an MSU Housing Contract. Students wishing to request a specific roommate should do so prior to April 1.
