My favorite spot on campus is the rose garden at the Research Park on the north side! As an undergrad, I worked as a research assistant for the Social Science Reseach Center and my office was near the rose garden. It's a beautiful spot to sit and journal, read, or just reflect a bit. It's a little hidden, but well worth the effort to get over there!

Take a class that has absolutely nothing to do with your major, just because it interests you! I took Biblical Hebrew with Dr. Bisson just for fun my senior year and it was a great class.

I think Music Makers is such a cool organization and students who are involved get amazing opportunities to bring concerts to Starkville. There's no experience quite like it and I wish I had done it in college!

My favorite restaurant, hands down, is the Bin. I crave their cheese fries and even tried to replicate them at home during the COVID pandemic. I got close, but there's something unique I'm still missing. Guess I have an excuse to go do more "research"!

Right now, my go to artists are Lake Street Dive and Sammy Rae & The Friends. Give me a funky beat and a few brass instruments and I'm all in!
