Behavioral Health Navigators

Behavioral Health Navigators are staff who are housed in various colleges, the Division of Access, Opportunity, and Support, and the Center for American Veterans to help students get connected to mental health and other resources on and off campus. The Behavioral Health Navigators will also provide outreach and training within the colleges, Division of Access, Opportunity, and Support, and the Center for American Veterans.

The Sanderson Center

Staying healthy and fit is fun for students with a free membership to the Sanderson Center’s 150,000 square feet of recreation space.

Center for Academic Excellence

The Center for Academic Excellence helps students improve their academic performance through both credit courses, such as Study Skills and Speed Reading, and non-credit services, such as free tutoring in most major subjects for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Art Exhibits

The Speaking Center

The goal of this center is to assist students, faculty, and staff at Mississippi State University with public speeches at all levels. Through the Speaking Center clients work one-on-one with consultants to ensure the speech/talk/presentation has a clear message, structure, and strong delivery. The consultant provides constructive feedback to the client to assist with strengthening the confidence in the client’s message delivery through advice and encouragement given throughout their session.

NRTC on Blindness and Low Vision

The National Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision (NRTC) is the nation’s only federally funded center focused on employment outcomes for people who are blind or have low vision.

Holmes Center for Student Success

The Holmes Center for Student Success is a home away from home for many students. The HCSS works to make the college experience better for all Mississippi State University students. The center offers a helpful and supportive environment with services that improve academic success, build career skills, and help students finish their degrees.

Graduate teaching assistants provide tutoring for courses from Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Business Calculus, Elementary Statistics, Introduction to Statistical Inference, Calculus I – IV, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations.
