Hi! I'm Anna Lindsey Sanders and I'm from Madison, MS! I graduated from Mississippi State in 2018 with a degree in Secondary Education. After graduating, I went on to teach US History at Northwest Rankin High School as well as coach the Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading teams for the next 3 years. I was overjoyed though when my husband and I decided to move back to Starkville, because it was like coming back home. At MSU, we enjoy going to any MSU Athletics games, taking our pups for a walk around campus, and getting to visit any new restaurants. Now, I am so excited to have the opportunity to give back to a university that gave so much to me. I can't wait to meet so many future Bulldogs!

What is your favorite tradition at MSU?
The Cowbell! It’s a MSU staple & tradition that connects all previous, current, & future Bulldogs.
Between classes I would...
Grab a quick bagel & coffee in the library from Einstein Bros Bagels for a little pick up me up!
Most memorable class at MSU:
Dr. Carskadon’s (aka “Dr. C”) psychology class was my first class ever at State! He is a legend.
Favorite Student Organization & Why:
Greek Life! I was able to have leadership opportunities, become a mentor to young college women, and create a community of supportive, life-long friends.
Favorite Starkville Restaurant:
The Bin! Sharing a plate of their famous cheese fries with my husband (& our dogs of course) is one of my favorite things to do especially during football/baseball season.
Why did you chose to become an admissions counselor?
After graduating from college, I was a high school teacher for 3 years. I enjoyed being an educator, and by becoming an admissions counselor, I was able to combine my 2 favorite things: assisting students with college preparation and informing more people about opportunities at Mississippi State.
