Hi! I'm Anna Lindsey Sanders and I'm from Madison, MS! I graduated from Mississippi State in 2018 with a degree in Secondary Education. After graduating, I went on to teach US History at Northwest Rankin High School as well as coach the Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading teams for the next 3 years. I was overjoyed though when my husband & I decided to move back to Starkville because it was like coming back home. At MSU, we enjoy going to any MSU Athletics games, taking our pups for a walk around campus, and getting to visit any new restaurants. Now, I am so excited to have the opportunity to give back to a university that gave so much to me. I can't wait to meet so many future Bulldogs!

Looking back at MSU’s campus, my favorite place would have to be the Davis Wade Football Stadium. From ringing my first cowbell at my first game to watching the dawgs go #1 against Auburn, Davis Wade is a place where every Bulldog has a special story. It's the Dawg Walk that happens during tailgating and the "Don't Stop Believing" playing 4th quarter when you get to see the spirit of all the Bulldog fans. Besides, nothing beats hearing over 20,000 cowbells "clanga clanga" all at once!

The highlight of my experience at MSU:

Becoming a part of Greek Life. Without it, I would not have had the opportunity to be involved around campus or have been able to create a community of amazing, supportive friends & relationships I still am surrounded by.

Best place to study on campus:

I would grab my study group & we would head to the Mitchell Memorial Library.

What advice do you have for future students?

Find your community! Whether they be from an organization, your major, or you met them on campus, it's great to make relationships with other students, teachers, advisors, etc. because it makes going through college a lot easier.

Favorite Starkville Restaurant:

Restaurant Tyler - anytime my family is in town, it's the place we always go out to eat at.

Activities, clubs, and service projects I was involved with:

Greek Life (Delta Gamma, Gamma Chi Recruitment Counselor, & Panhellenic Executive Council), Dance Cardio Instructor at the Sanderson, Mentor/Student Teacher (Armstrong Middle School, New Hope High School, Golden Triangle Early College High School), Mississippi Council for the Social Studies

Have a great story or experience?

The craziest thing that happened while I was a student - During my freshman year while living in Oak Hall, a dorm room caught on fire. In order for MSU to come in and fix our entire wing, they moved us into a hotel room for an entire week. It was so much fun because for an entire week I got a free breakfast :)
